Before the call
Set the room like it's a real call
Quiet space. Headphones with a mic. Water within reach. Notes off-screen — coaches hear when you're reading. Sit up. Look at the camera dot, not the screen.
The mission / How to use it
Turn the recruiting call from a stressful unknown, to a familiar, repeatable, coachable skill. Live voice reps with AI college coaches, scored on the things coaches actually care about.
The mission
Most high school athletes only get a handful of real coach conversations before decisions are made. One unpolished call and a roster spot and possibly a scholarship offer quietly disappear. It's just how recruiting can work.
RecruitReady exists so every youth athlete gets the same edge the top prospects already have: hundreds of reps, real feedback, and a clear picture of what to improve on before it costs them the offer.
The call is just the venue. The real skill is self-advocacy — knowing your value, saying it clearly, showing you did your research, and humbly and respectfully asking for what you want without flinching. That's what we train.
Beyond the ask, the calls that turn into offers are the ones where a coach walks away knowing who the athlete is, how they think, and why they'd fit the program. RecruitReady trains that presence — identity, mindset, and fit — not just the answers.
TRAIN THE CONVERSATION. OWN THE CALL. EARN THE SPOT.
Light overview
01
Sport, position, age range, target division, and state. Two minutes — this tunes every question to your recruiting reality.
02
Match the level you're chasing. D1 intensity, D2 technical, D3 fit, JUCO grit. Rotate them — each one pushes you differently.
03
7–10 minutes of live voice. They ask, follow up, and push. You answer out loud, just like the real thing.
04
Per-answer feedback on content, composure, specificity, and recruitability — plus self-advocacy cues: clarity of your ask, ownership of your story, and follow-through. Rerun weak spots until they're your strongest.
Detailed guide
Read this once before your first session and revisit it after your first score. It's the difference between logging reps and actually getting better.
Before the call
Quiet space. Headphones with a mic. Water within reach. Notes off-screen — coaches hear when you're reading. Sit up. Look at the camera dot, not the screen.
During the call
Lead with the point. Back it up with one specific number, moment, or story. Keep most answers under 60 seconds. Don't rush a pause — coaches read composure as much as content.
Reading your score
Content = did you actually answer. Composure = pace, filler words, poise. Specificity = numbers, names, dates over vague claims. Recruitability = would this coach want to keep talking to you.
Consistency
One rep a day for two weeks is worth more than ten reps the night before a real call. Hit the daily drill, keep the streak alive, and let XP do its work.
Rotate coaches
The intense D1 makes you sharper. The supportive D3 exposes when you're stiff. The JUCO wise guy will catch the story you're leaning on too hard. Rotate weekly.
Ending strong
Thank the coach by name. Reference something specific from the call. Have two real questions ready for them — about their program, not stats you can Google. Practice those questions as hard as the answers.
Ask back
Flip the interview. Ask questions that show you've done your homework and that you care about fit: What do you see as my potential role on your team? What would I need to improve to compete for a roster spot? What qualities do you look for in your athletes? What is the next step in your recruiting process? What would you like me to send you after this call?
Close the call
If you're genuinely interested, say so. Coaches respect clarity. I would love to visit your campus and town. I would love an offer from your program. I would love to play for you, coach. A clear, respectful ask keeps you top of mind and moves the process forward.
Self-advocacy
Know your numbers cold. Name what you actually want — an offer, an official visit, a roster spot — instead of hinting at it. Follow up in your own voice, not a parent's or club coach's. No one will fight for your spot harder than you can; we just teach you how.
Identity & fit
Stats get you the call. Identity gets you the offer. Share the moments, people, and reasons behind your game. Tie your goals to why this specific program fits you. Coaches recruit humans, not resumes — give them the human.
Ready?
